                                 ‘’CAMEROON: AN AFRICAN SYMPHONY’’

Day 1: PARIS- DOUALA

Arrival at the Douala international Airport- reception, then transfer to Hotel ‘’FOYER DES MARINS’’ settle in, then dinner and night

Day 2: DOUALA, MANENGUBA MOUNTAIN- LUCIOLE VILLA- NIGHT

Morning wake- and departure from Douala after breakfast to Nkongsamba passing through big rubber plantations, palm oil trees, banana plantations and especially the Penja and Melong white pepper plantation, then take a bike to mount Manenguba, which dominates the whole area and at the summit are twin lakes (male and female) 2400 m high, meet the nomads settled there with their cattle – return to Luciole villa- dinner and night

Day 3: LUCIOLE VILLA- MANENGUBA MOUNTAIN- EKOM- KAM- FOUMBAN

Departure from the Luciole villa in the morning after breakfast for Foumban passing through Ekom-Nkam Falls, very popular and well known; where a part of the film,’Tarzan’ by Christophe Lambert was  shot, then continue to Foumban via Bafang and Bagante. Lunch and excursion in Foumban, where the Bamoun Sultan lives, and also the handicraft capital of the west region, guardian of two museums and a palace- Foumban is one of the first tourist sites of the country- be carried away by a swarm of young children in this town whose history goes back to the 18th century- the Sultan’s palace; a unique and strange edifice- the museum contains a mixture of thrones, trophies, arms statues… belonging to the ancestors of the present sultan. The Bamoun museum of arts and traditions, one of the most beautiful in the country, has a rich collection of arts objects- go through the street of craftsmen, where wood sculptors, black smiths and casters are working. Settling in hotel- visit of the royal museum – return to hotel- dinner and night

Day 4: FOUMBAN- BANKIM- BANYO- TIBATI

Morning wake- breakfast and departure for Tibati via Bankim and Banyo-This journey is a discovery of the Adamawa, herbaceous savannah landscape, mountain and relief-  Arrival- settling in hotel- dinner and night

Day 5: TIBATI- NGOUNDERE- NGOUNDABA

Morning wake- breakfast and off to Ngaoundéré- stop over and continuation to the Ngaoundéré ranch- settling in –dinner and night

 

 

Day 6: NGAOUNDABA- POLI- WANGAI

Morning wake by noise made by animals- breakfast- departure to the Atlantika mountains, landscape of semi desert big spaces- you will drive through a part of the tarred road with fowl nests and then a greater part of the track that leads you to Atlantika mountains to meet the primitive Komas, living far away from modernism, and still keep their culture and tradition- dinner and night in bivouac at Wangai

Day 7: WANGAI- POLI- NGOUNDERE

Morning wake- breakfast- departure for a motorable road crossing the Faro Reserve and Fignole village, then continuation to Poli then Ngoundéré- Arrival- settling in a hotel- dinner and night

Day 8: NGOUNDABA- NGOUNDERE via Tello Falls and Idoll- TIBATI

Morning wake- breakfast- departure for Tibati- using a very practicable and motorable road- savannah and forest gallery landscape- along the way, you stop from time to time to admire the beautiful landscape and observe breath-taking tourist sites- arrival at Tibati and settling in hotel- dinner and night

Day 9: TIBATI- YOKO

Morning wake- breakfast- departure for Yoko via a road under construction but motorable- savannah and forest gallery landscape- you will arrive by the end of the afternoon crossing through woody savannah with the possibility of watching wild animals, tourist sites and people ready to welcome you at each stage of your journey- Arrival in Yoko; a town situated 1400 m in altitude, with temperate climate- settling in hotel- dinner and night

Day 10: YOKO- NTUI- GOURA- NBANGASSINA- OMBESSA- OBALA- YAOUNDE

Morning wake- breakfast- departure for Yaoundé going to the great forest of south Cameroon- Arrival at the foot of Mount Fouy-Arrival at Ntui- continuation via Mbangassina, Ombessa to Yaoundé- Arrival and settling in hotel- dinner in a typical Restaurant in the neighbourhood; an occasion to once more discover some Cameroonian dishes- return to the Hotel and night

Day 11: YAOUNDE- NAMAYOS- AKONO- BIPINDI LOLDORF- NYETTE- KRIBI

Morning wake- breakfast and departure from Yaoundé to Kribi via a practicable rich forest track, meeting the local people, whose living conditions are very difficult- possible visit on the plantations before reaching Kribi- striking Arrival in Kribi – a view of the ocean with its unending white sand beaches, bordered with palm trees; the Kribi coast is a real Cameroon Riviera- a world in contact with the equatorial forest and the ocean- Londji is the most beautiful beach in Cameroon and a dream place for holidays. The Lobé falls flow into the ocean in cascades; a unique phenomenon in the world- in magical scenery, this river falls on a cliff, 30 m high widening the sky with its splashes. Further on you can discover two fishermen villages; Eboundja and Ebodjé, where fishing is miraculous- From Lobé Falls, the canoes will take you to discover pygmies in the equatorial forest- Arrival- settling in at Hotel Residence Jully 3 star or Ilomba Hotel 3 star- dinner and night

Day 12: KRIBI- CAMPO- ‘A- KRIBI- DOUALA AND TAKE-OFF

Morning wake- breakfast- the programme of the day will depend on the physical fitness of the group. It is up to you to choose whether to go back to Campo, which shelters the Campo National Park MA’AN in the dense forest on a motorable practicable track along the ocean shore to and fro or stay put and enjoy yourself by relaxing on the sandy beaches of Kribi. Departure to Douala at the end of the afternoon and take up a hotel room and wait for time to leave for the Airport for boarding formalities and take-off for Paris- End of stay-

  As from 3000 euros (all taxes included)
