Butterflies of Cameroon
Cameroon’s diverse landscapes are home to thousands of butterflies, also known as Happy Fliers, insects with wings covered in colourful scales. These beings are unlike most insects appreciated by the general world, certainly because of their attractive appearance and the fact that their presence is universally felt to be harmless.
Butterflies are classified in the order of:
-Lepidoptera. There are two (2) large families in this order, namely: Rhopalocera, which are the day butterflies
-Heterocerans, which are the moths.
We invite all butterfly lovers, scientists, entomologists, students and collectors, accompanied by a specialist guide, to join us on a journey of discovery of the butterflies of Cameroon and Central Africa.
