Cameroon Birdwatching
Cameroon remains little known as far as birdwatching is concerned, even though it is West Africa’s richest country for birds. It is probably the most accessible country in Central and West Africa, with a large number of bird species, including some 968 resident and visiting species.
Of these, 704 are resident and 218 are seasonal migrants. Seven species are endemic to the country’s geography. However, two vital areas for endemic and resident birds cover the central and southern parts of the country.
