Safari in Bouba Ndjida N. Park, Culture & Beach (Kribi)

per person

Located on the border of Chad, Boubandjida National Park covers 220,000 hectares. It is the most beautiful and the wildest in Cameroon. With its magnificent setting and its rich and varied fauna, BOUBANDJIDA is the stronghold of the black rhinoceros and the Derby elk or horse-antelope, the most beautiful and largest of the antelopes (the male can weigh up to a ton) all both endangered. Whose fauna is composed of: Elands de Derby, Cobb de Buffons; Grimm’s duikers, hippopotamuses, hypotraques, waterbucks, lions, monkeys of the baboon family, white and black-antled colobus monkeys.
The western and north western provinces are among the key areas of Cameroonian cultural tourism. Known for their chiefdoms, the most famous of which are Bandjoun, Batouffam, Bapa and Bafoussam. The visit of the chiefdoms will be an opportunity to discover palaces, huts, Bamileke art and crafts. Foumban, the capital of the Bamoun sultanate, is another testimony to the Cameroon of traditions. For culture lovers, the city is a gold mine, with its palace, its museum of arts and traditions, its artisans and its markets.
The Kribi region is Cameroon’s real riviera, with its idle beach life. Large white sandy beaches stretch as far as the eye can see, fringed by splendid coconut palms. The contact between the ocean and the equatorial forest is bewitching.
A unique site to the south of Kribi will surprise even the most blasé: the Lobé Falls, a river that flows directly into the ocean through a series of waterfalls over thirty metres high.
